Work, business, opportunities
Work, business and opportunities, i.e. promoting of the excellence of the regional system and its social, cultural and economic heritage in Europe and around the world, in order to boost the local economy and to create new jobs.
This macro-area includes the following activities: promoting the region’s productive strengths globally; attracting investments that are highly innovative, environmentally sustainable and create good jobs; promoting the return of businesses; paying attention to business opportunities for the agri-food sector; and revitalising tourism by combining tradition and innovation and reconciling economic competitiveness and social cohesion.
Moreover, there is a strategic interest in the internationalisation of the regional research and innovation ecosystem and of the High Technology Network. This goal is pursued also through the development of Technopoles, supercomputing infrastructures and investments aimed at making Emilia-Romagna the European Data Valley. Other strategic goals are: safeguarding the internationalisation of local enterprises by consolidating their presence in European and non-European markets; strengthening international networks and supporting the international dimension of the regional trade fair system; strengthening relations with the world’s most innovative regions; and exploiting the opportunities arising from major international events.
